Bitter

So, why have I been feeling more like this lately:

instead of that:

Oh yeah, that's right. Because we're still in the low 60s, even though it's almost JULY!!
So where exactly is this "PERFECT CLIMATE" that everyone has been telling us about?? If that means that I'm getting cheated out of a real summer, it doesn't sound that great to me.
And don't tell me, that "this is the first time ever..." and "usually it's never like that...". Right.
I'm done with cloudy skies and chilly temperatures. I WANT MY SUMMER. NOW.

Dressy

A couple of months ago I made this dress for Ava. It's just a simple A-line dress with some fabric flowers sewn on around the neckline. For weeks it was all she wanted to wear.

What to do with Mr.P

Even though I've really tried my darndest, it turns out, buying childrens' toys based on the color scheme of your home doesn't quite work so well. Especially as soon as they try to pick everything out themselves... (Princess stuff, anyone?)
Sooner or later you end up with some pretty serious eyesores laying around the house.
Like Mr. P.
And his wife.
And kids.
And his gazillion ears, noses, eyes, arms, feet, clothes.......
Not to mention all the other small toy stuff that just mysteriously seems to accumulate over time.
Time to do a little organizing. It came out quite nicely. Who would have guessed, that Mr. P and I could ever live together so peacefully.

Freezer paper transfers on basic linen, sewn to different sized bags. Strings made from basic hemp twine.

Branching out

Needed some kind of decoration for an empty wall.
Wanted a big, white branch.
A birch branch, to be exact.
Couldn't find one.
Ended up making one myself.

Wire and gauze bandage. That's all you need.

Do you think these are enough?

After hearing some suspicious noises coming from underneath the kitchen table, this is what I found.
